Wyoming!

Current location: Fremont County Public Library in LANDER, WYOMING
Crew: Typical 5 (Annie, Liz, Eric/Mitch, Kevin, Me) plus more travelers headed our way for a while. We've meet up with a lad from Ireland, a dude from Belgium, a couple from Portugal, and another lad from the US. We'll be traveling with them tomorrow to, perhaps, Dubois, WY (something like 80 miles). With that in mind, we should be in the Tetons within the next few days! WILD!

Today: Total nothingness! Lounging, blogging, laundry, relaxing, swimming, chatting, and chilling. Tough life, we know. We weren't planning on staying in Lander, WY; however, once we got here, we felt at home. This town is young, active, youthful, spunky, and full of wilderness people. After all, NOLS is here. Plus, we wanted to ride with the big crew tomorrow.

Wyoming is the 10th most extensive state, but it's the least populous state. Thus far, it has been incredible. It's stunning here! The terrain is wild, rugged, untouched, natural, and breathtakingly gorgeous. For biking, however, it's been difficult. it's WINDY! Incredibly windy...we're talking about 20mph winds, and then some. We asked the Wyomingites about the wind, and they said it's eerily odd if ever there is a day without wind...welp, good to know! The terrain isn't too difficult here; however, the wind is miserably tough and defeating; it's relentless and unforgiving. One neat thing about the wind though...as you are biking, the wind sweeps the smell of the sage brush and wafts you with it while you are biking.

sagebrush everywhere

Liz fell, again...once I found out she was okay, I snapped the pic.

Found proper RayBan wayfarer shades on the side of the road
