Rest Day in Pueblo

July 24th

LAUNDRY DAY! Thank, Liz! We're all pretty sure that after napping on busy roads, doing laundry is Liz's favorite activity. We all appreciate it and I'm sure the people who smell us do too! We met up with Previn who we met as we entered Pueblo last night. We had dinner at Coor's Tavern, home of the famous Slopper: open faced burger with chili on top. Hands down the best meal so far, according to all the meat-eaters.

On the way to a bar after dinner, we heard drumbeats near the Riverwalk. The girls split off and went to check it out. We're always down for dancing! We followed the sounds that led us to a bridge, where we listened and danced to native-influenced music. There's a group that meets regularly to jam, and they had some outside guests drum as well (Gill and Sandra). We biked around the beautiful river walk, watched the bats fly over the water, then headed back to our hotel. We were craving a late-night snack and biked through the Wendy's drive-thru. Back at the hotel, we spent 10 minutes straight laughing at nothing (well, laughing at Shaun who was hysterical). Even on rest days, we're nuts.
